My Seafood Gumbo



Ingredients:
2 T of butter or vegetable oil
1/4 cup flour
1 bag frozen chopped onions, celery, bell peppers mix
2 bags frozen sliced okra
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 box chicken broth
1 normal can stewed tomatoes
1 normal can tomatoes, celery, onion mix
2 cans tiny shrimp
1 bag small frozen cooked shrimp
4 T Worcestershire sauce (Frenches is my favorite brand)
1T garlic powder
2T seasoned salt
1 T fresh ground pepper
1 T Cajun seasoning
1 T onion powder
1 T basil chopped
you can add other things as you wish, but this is a good start

Directions:
1. Saute the frozen onion mix bag in the oil or butter.
2. Slowly add the flour to create the roux you may need to add a little more oil or butter as needed.
3. Add the chicken broth while stirring.
4. Add in the cans of tomatoes and heat to a boil.
5. Add the seasonings lower the heat and let simmer for at least 1 hour.
6. Add the okra in 30 min before serving.
7. Add the shrimp in 15min before serving.
8. Serve

You can serve it by itself, with rice, or with bread depending on how you like it
